Preparation of the surface

The insulation "ThermoStop" is applied on metal, concrete, brick, wood, glass, ceramics, plastic, rubber, cardboard, and almost all other industrial and building materials and substrates. The surface on which this material is applied should be clean, degreased and scour of corrosion. The application is possible on surfaces whose temperature can be in the range of +5 to +150 C.
Cleaning the surface means to do not have dust, soiled surfaces, blemishes, grease, corrosion etc. If the surface is greased, it must be cleaned with appropriate standard detergents or other chemicals. During the application of the material, the surface should be washed and dried. If corrosion is removed, this can be done on the usual way with painting.

Preparation of the material

First open the factory packing. The material is packaged in plastic containers of 3, 5 and 16 liters.
Mix with electric paint mixer, not more than 100 - 150 o / min and not more than 5 min. Until the content becomes homogeneous with paste-like density.
If the material is very thick (for example, after a long standing), it can be added from 50-120 ml of water to a single bucket of 16 liters of material. It is desirable to drain the material through the filter to ensure a concrete and good application with "airless" sprayers.

Application of the material

For toning of the material "ThermoStop" can use the same toners as for acrylic paints (no more than 1% pigment is added). With the toning does not lose the properties and characteristics of the material, and gives the possibility of choosing a color for aesthetic and technological appearance.
The material is applied in layers. The thickness of one layer can be from 0.3 mm to 0.5 mm. The material can be applied with the aid of airless sprayer under a pressure of 40 to 100 bars with a nozzle of 0.5 mm. The material can also be applied with an usual brush or roller. This method is not recommended for professional activities, but it is suitable for repairs of damaged insulating materials as well as for use in apartments or smaller surfaces. The application with brush is performed in the same way as acrylic paint. The total drying time and polymerization of the layers is 24 hours. During 12 hours of application of the layers, protection against possible wetting should be provided. The new layer is applied after completely drying of the previous layer.
At low temperatures and in conditions of increased humidity, the drying process lasts longer.
The standard for material consumption is 1l per 1 m2, depending on the previously prepared isolating surface.

* This expertly done insulation in 3 layers with a thickness of 2 mm replaces approximately 50 mm classical insulation.

If the user does not comply with the applying instructions proposed by the manufacturer, or he does not adequately apply the insulation, then the manufacturer will not be responsible for the thermal effects of the ThermoStop insulation.
